Egg Harbor Man Admits To Possession Of Child Pornography: Feds

Matthew Wolny now faces 5-20 years in jail and a $250,000 fine.

An Egg Harbor Township man has admitted to receiving thousands of images and videos of child pornography, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced on Tuesday.

Matthew Wolny, 40, pleaded guilty to an information charging him with one count of receipt of child pornography. Wolny was arrested and charged by complaint on June 6.

Authorities said that in September 2013, they found that Wolny, who lived in Jackson at the time, used peer to peer file sharing computer software to download video files with images of child sexual abuse from the Internet, according to documents filed in the case and statements made in court.
