Author and Literary Critic Arnold Rampersad at Stockton

The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey School of Arts and Humanities and the Masters of Arts in American Studies presents a free talk by author Arnold Rampersad, “W.E.B. DuBois and the Making of American Studies.”

The talk will take place 6 p.m. on Thursday September 20, 2012 in the Alton Auditorium (A-wing) of the campus here. As an added attraction, the talk will feature a musical introduction by Dr. Beverly Vaughn, Professor of Music. This event is free and open to members of the community.

Rampersad is a biographer and literary critic whose works have earned nominations for  the Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award. Rampersad is currently Professor of English and the Sara Hart Kimball Professor in the Humanities at Stanford University.
