Richard Dovey- President of the Atlantic County Utility Authority
(ACUA) - will relate what is being done in south Jersey with renewable energy. The power grid, as it stands, was built in the 1930s and is not geared to deal with massive demands on energy and the new modes of generation. What alternatives do consumers have? How can Atlantic City Electric process and deliver the electricity from its renewable sources at a reasonable cost to suppliers? These are some of the issues that Mr. Dovey will address; Where are we now? What are the obstacles? and What about the future? The presentation is free and open to the public.
