Seminar Description
This seminar is a practical look at Erik Erikson's last stage of development:  Ego Integrity versus Despair.  Topics discussed will include the emotions experienced while processing this goal, the labels put on these emotions by healthcare professionals, the added challenges of experiencing old age in the American youth-oriented culture, and the struggle for independence while faced with cognitive and physical decline.  Case studies and exercises may be offered depending upon time.  Discussion will be encouraged.
