
Atlantic Cape Community College will host a Green Marketing Conference, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday, Nov. 4, at Bally’s Atlantic City.
The conference includes an interactive talk with Jacquie Ottman, green marketing and eco-innovation expert and author of “The New Rules of Green Marketing,” about the following topics:
· How can companies avoid greenwashing when marketing the green attributes of their products?
· What can multinational CPG companies like Proctor and Gamble and Unilever learn from sustainability-focused upstarts like Method and Seventh Generation?
· What are some of the fundamentals companies should focus on when communicating their sustainability efforts?
Ottman is the founder and principal of the New York City-based J.Ottman Consulting, Inc., and advises Fortune 500 companies and the U.S. government. She has worked with EPA’s Energy Star, SmartWay and Design for Environment eco-labels, and is currently assisting in the launch of the USDA’s BioBased label. Some of her clients include 3M, Nike and Johnson & Johnson.
