Come spend a day in this soft pastel workshop and develop your own joy of painting from a photo of your choice. You will learn how to use your photo as a link into your own vision. Rae Smith, a Master Pastelist since 1997 and President of the Pastel Society of America, has won many awards for her landscape, seascape and pond paintings. Bring as many soft pastels as you can, textured pastel paper and a board to attach your paper to. Also, bring your lunch and a drink. Good pastel brands: Unison, Schmincke, Great American Artworks , Sennelier, Girault. If you have other brands, that's fine. No oil pastels. Good papers: Jack Richeson paper or foam board, Art Spectrum, U Art, Kitty Wallis or Canson. Rae Smith will have paper available for sale @ $5 per sheet.
