Richard Stockton College of NJ Council of Black Faculty and Staff's 40th Annual Awards Dinner and Dance
The event pays tribute to the organization’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, its Merit Award honoree and its Distinguished Alumni recipient.
The event kicks off with a cocktail reception and cash bar beginning at 6 p.m., dinner and the program at 7 p.m., and it concludes with dancing.
According to Council President Patricia Collins, the award winners are to be announced and this year’s event holds special significance. “This year promises to be a memorable Dinner and Dance as we are not only celebrating the 40th anniversary of the event, but also the 40th anniversary of teaching at the College,” Collins said. It is fitting that our Honorary Chair is Provost Dr. Harvey Kesselman, who was a student here in the 1970s.” Kesselman, a resident of Mays Landing, started his Stockton career in 1971 when there was a temporary campus in the former Mayflower Hotel building on the Atlantic City boardwalk, and he graduated from Stockton’s first class.
