Safe Sitter Class

This nationally recognized program teaches babysitters how to recognize a medical emergency and know the appropriate action to take; care for specific ages; prevent injuries; care for a choking child; and prevent or deal with problem behavior. Safe Sitter® students will gain hands-on practice in basic lifesaving techniques to prepare them to act in a crisis. They'll learn safety and security precautions, including what to do if a stranger comes to the door. They'll also gain an understanding of basic child development and how to provide age-appropriate entertainment.

The Safe Sitter class is a medically accurate child care course developed for 11-13 year olds. This course teaches you the skills you need to safely care for children-infants through school age. In this class a great deal of information is presented in a short period of time, therefore we will only accept children older than 11.

If your child is older than 13 we will accommodate them however the material and majority of the group is based on the age range of 11-13. We would recommend bringing a friend so the child is more comfortable. Please feel free to visit the Safe Sitter web site for more detailed information on this organization
