Srebrenica

On July 11th 1995 a failed peacekeeping mission led to the slaughter of approximately 8000 people in the Bosnian enclave of Srebrenica. The Srebrenica massacre is considered the gravest atrocity committed in Europe since World War II. Mixed media photo assemblages by artist Jehanne van Woerkom give testimony to the mass burial sites and suffering of the families who lost their loved ones. In conjunction with Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, the Noyes Museum of Art will host this powerful exhibition that has been on exhibit in Amsterdam and The Hague.
