Kevin Cathcart, Stockton Alumnus and Executive Director of Lambda Legal, will serve as the guest speaker for "Marriages, Gay: A Nation Divided" on Thursday, February 24th at 6:00 p.m. in Alton Auditorium.
Cathcart will discuss the political and legal issues regarding gay marriage cases in various states, including California, Iowa, and Massachusetts. He is the executive director of Lambda Legal, a nationwide civil rights organization advocating for the rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people, and individuals with HIV. Lambda Legal's is headquartered in New York, with regional offices in California, Illinois, Georgia, and Texas.
