Five Things You Need To Know
Council established an Affordable Housing Trust Fund, and committing $550,000 to this fund.

1. Galloway Council approved a resolution Tuesday night, July 25 establishing a “Market to Affordable Housing” program and committed $550,000 to the fund. Under this program, up to 10 residential units are purchased at market price, and then resold or rented as Affordable Housing units at an average of $55,000 per unit.
2. The Galloway Carnival will take place at the municipal complex Thursday-Saturday, Aug. 2-4, from 6-10 p.m. each night. National Night Out is Tuesday night, Aug. 7, at the municipal complex.
3. This Sunday, July 29, over 1,600 bicyclists will participate in the 25th annual Irish Pub Tour de Shore, a 65-mile bike ride from the Irish Pub on 20th and Walnut in Philadelphia to Atlantic City. Bicyclists will travel from Egg Harbor City via Duerer Street to Jimmie Leeds Road turning onto Pitney Road. Galloway Police are advising motorists to use caution around the municipal complex at 300 East Jimmie Leeds Road. Volunteers are also needed to help at the rest stop, at the municipal complex. 4. The New Jersey Turnpike Authority will hold a public meeting to discuss Garden State Parkway Interchanges at exits 41 and 44, as well as a new state police barracks. Galloway residents will have the opportunity to voice their concerns about the service station and the Parkway off Jimmie Leeds Road. The meeting is set for Aug. 22 at the municipal complex, from 5-7 p.m.
