Five Things You Need to Know About Tonight's School Referendums
The Galloway and Greater Egg Harbor school district referendums both go before voters tonight, Dec. 13.

- The two referendums will be on different ballots, although residents can go to one polling location to vote on both. Once a resident signs in, poll workers at each location will explain which referendum is in which booth and direct residents to their desired booth or booths.
- Polls are open for both referendums between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., and polling locations are available
- State grants will cover 57 percent of the work proposed in the Greater Egg referendum, but only until February. Details of the Greater Egg referendum are available here.
- Galloway residents would see a tax increase of $14.42 (for homes assessed at $100,000) or $28.84 (for homes assessed at $200,000) as it relates to the local district’s referendum. Details of the Galloway referendum are available here.
- Both districts intend to have as minimal an impact on classes and students as possible if both referendums pass, with work ideally beginning in the late spring/early summer.
