Five Things You Need to Know About Tuesday's Council Meeting
Here are some other things that happened at the council meeting on Nov. 22.

1. Galloway Council approved a resolution authorizing the township to apply for the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association to develop a Town Center visioning plan. If selected the Township would take part in a 2-7 day-long workshop where it would receive assistance from a team of distinguished NJ Planners to create a plan for a site in the Municipality, Township Planner Tiffany Cuviello said.Β
βWe selected to apply for this assistance for the Town Center area,β Cuviello said in an email on Wednesday. βIf selected the assistance would help the Township and the community create a vision for the Town Center. The vision will be based upon public participation, future goals and existing conditions in the area and region.β
2. Council approved a resolution authorizing the payment of a lien in which the township holds interest in a property. The property is classified as affordable housing. It was purchased by a third party, according to Township Planner Tiffany Cuviello. TheΒ one who purchasedΒ the property now wishes to foreclose, and the township is hoping to use money acquired through a trust fund to purchase the property, at no cost to the taxpayer, Cuviello said.
