Five Things You Need to Know About Tuesday's Council Meeting
A resolution approving the bike path was approved.

1.Β Β Β Β The Galloway Township Council went into closed session Tuesday night, Oct. 11 to discuss agreements with both the chief and captain of police, as well as a combined municipal court between Galloway and Port Republic.
2.Β Β Β Β Council passed a resolution supporting the creation of a non-motorized bike path on 337 acres of Atlantic County owned public open space near the Seaview along Rt. 9. Councilman Dennis Kleiner intends to deliver the resolution to the county this morning for implementation early next year, if funding is available. βWe had some apprehension from hunters, but we assured them weβre going to shut down during hunting season, and the apprehension went away,β Kleiner said.
3.Β Β Β Β October is Community Planning Month, and Oct. 9-15 is Fire Prevention Week.

4.Β Β Β Β The Salute to Veterans is this Saturday, Oct. 15 at Veterans Park at Glenn by the Bay at 1 p.m. Veterans eat free.
5.Β Β Β Β Council increased the contract to All American Landscapes LLC in the amount of $7,275.93 for the no-net loss, and is recommended by the township manager, acting director of public works and the township engineer.
