Former Galloway Superintendent Douglas Groff Earns Pension of Over $100,000

He was one of 1,244 former employees throughout the state to become a member of the $100,000 club, up 28 percent from 2010.

Former Galloway Township Superintendent of Schools Douglas Groff received a pension of over $100,000 from the State of New Jersey, according to New Jersey Watchdog.

Groff’s pension was $103,953, according to the list published by the group on Tuesday, April 3. According to New Jersey Watchdog, 1,244 retirees collected more than $100,000 last year, which is up 28 percent from 2010, according to the group.

Groff is the only former Galloway Township official on the list. He was the Superintendent of the from 2000-2010, when he retired. He has also served as an assistant commissioner for the Department of Education for the State of New Jersey. He worked for several Southern New Jersey school districts, including as Superintendent of Schools for the Burlington County School District.
