Former GTBA Leader Nominated For Appointment to State's Motion Picture and Television Development Commission

Steve Moliver was nominated late last week, according to the Governor's Office.

Former leader Steve Moliver is one of four nominees for appointment to the state’s Motion Picture and Television Development Commission, Gov. Chris Christie’s office announced late last week.

Moliver, Tom Bernard (Atlantic Highlands, Monmouth County), Steven E. Some (Skillman, Somerset County) and Ronald Margulis (Cranford, Union County) were nominated to the commission, while Michael Uslan (Cedar Grove, Essex County) was nominated for reappointment, according to a release from the governor’s office.

Moliver is the founder of the Galloway Township Business Association, and currently serves as the immediate past president. He acted as the association's president from its inception until of this year when Mary Crawford took over as the association's offical president.

His other roles have included a member of Galloway Township’s economic development committee and co-chairman of the Go Green Galloway Task Force for Sustainability.

He served as chairman for many years of the Atlantic/Cape May Big Brothers Big Sisters and was a co-founder and longtime board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Jersey. He graduated from Temple University’s Radio, Television and Film Program in the School of Communications and Theater.

Moliver is the principal of M.O.L. Strategies, a consultant to businesses and organizations. He has also served as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Miss America Organization, and has served in other leadership positions, including Lenfest Broadcasting, Atlantic City Seagulls Professional Basketball, Global Television Sports, NBC 40 - WMGM TV, and Caesars Atlantic City.

He has also served the licensed properties arms of the NBA, NBC Sports and the NCAA, and has represented as an agency of record for sports and entertainment marketing such companies as Reebok, Pepsi, Nintendo, Isuzu, Modell’s and Mitsubishi.
