Galloway Cultural Arts Center Announces Joys Art Show Winners

The announced the winners of its Joy Arts Show Tuesday night, Jan. 10, and released its show schedule for the upcoming year.

The winners of the Joys Art Show are as follows:

First Prize: Carol Skiles for Guarding the Dunes;

Second Prize: Kylee Kurtz for Oreo;

Third Prize: Frances Adamo for Haverhill Court; and

Honorable mention: Marguerita Nanfara for Wedding Dress.

The 2012 exhibit themes and drop off dates are as follows:

1.Winter Magic: Drop off is Jan. 14;

2. Breath of Spring: Drop off is March 17;

3. Summer Wonders: Drop off is June 16; and

4. Autumn Splendor: Drop off is Oct. 13.

All art drop offs for new exhibits and pick ups for completed exhibits are between 10 a.m. and noon on these dates at the on Jimmie Leeds Road behind the municipal complex.

The 2012 membership drive has also already begun. Membership fee is $20 and members are entitled to free art workshops in 2012, which translates to a $5 savings per original art entry for all GCAC exhibits.
