Galloway Library To Reopen Following Coronavirus Closure

The library has been closed since Oct. 23, because someone who had been inside the building tested positive for COVID-19.

GALLOWAY, NJ — The Galloway Township branch of the Atlantic County Library System will reopen this week. The facility closed Oct. 23 after identifying someone who had been in the library and tested positive for the coronavirus.

The facility will resume curbside service from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday before opening the building from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. The building underwent additional deep cleaning and sanitization.

All eight other branches of the Atlantic County Library System are open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with curbside service from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The first hour of each day is designated for those at high risk, as defined by the Center for Disease Control.

The library asks patrons to wear face masks and limit their time inside to less than an hour. Use of computers requires an appointment. Each branch is operating at 25 percent indoor capacity with social distancing as the state mandates.
