Galloway Man Now Charged With Murder in Father's Death
James Sopuch Jr. was initially charged with aggravated assault after his father was found dead in their home on Saturday night.

A Galloway man has been charged with murder in the death of his 60-year-old father, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain said on Monday.
James Sopuch Jr., 29, was initially charged with aggravated assault after James Sopuch Sr. was found dead in the home the two lived in on Saturday night.
The charge was upgraded on Monday. Sopuch Jr. was served the warrant complaint in the Atlantic County Justice Facility by Detectives of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit. His bail was set at $1 million full cash.

An autopsy conducted on Sunday revealed that Sopuch Sr.’s cause of death to be blunt force trauma to the head. The manner of death was determined to be homicide.
