Galloway Middle School Students to Perform Disney's 'High School Musical Jr.'

Disney's High School Musical Jr., based on the hit Disney Channel movie, comes to the Galloway Township Middle School stage four nights in a row next week.

The middle school's Drama Club will perform the show beginning Wednesday night, March 28 and running four consecutive nights through Saturday, March 31. All show times will be 7 p.m.

"The GTMS Drama Club presented the full stage version of Disney's High School Musical on stage five years ago, and it was there best-attended show in the history of the school," according to Galloway Township Middle School Teacher Brian Conover. "The Broadway Junior version of the show that will be presented next week is a bit shorter, but retains the same high-energy music and dance of the original movie."

“The movie has such an important message of going for your dreams and being who you want to be, despite how others try to confine you," said David Simpatico, the show's script writer. "We had to grab onto that inspiration and propel it through the entire stage show.”

Ticket prices are $6 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and $3 for students and children. They will be available at the door.
