Galloway Police Investigating Rash of Recent Burglaries
The burglaries generally were committed at businesses along the Route 9 corridor and at the western end of the White Horse Pike.

Galloway Township Police are investigating numerous business burglaries along the Route 9 corridor between Absecon City and Smithville as well as the western end of the White Horse Pike in the township that have taken place over the past several weeks, usually between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Police believe the recent burglaries were committed by a light-skinned man, medium build with his face covered, but other suspects may also be involved.
A dark colored compact vehicle, possibly a Honda Civic, was seen in the area of at least one of the burglaries.

Police remind local businesses to set their alarms, to be aware of their surroundings, to be alert for any suspicious persons/vehicles loitering in the area, to make sure interior and exterior lighting is activated and in good working order, to make sure all doors are securely locked after closing and to not leave large amounts of money in the businesses overnight.
Galloway citizens are also reminded to report any suspicious activity to the police department immediately.
