Galloway Township Issues Statement on Wastewater Management
Issue will be discussed in three public sessions over the next week.

Galloway Township issued the following statement on Wednesday, regarding proposed changes to Sewer Service Areas in the township under the county's Wastewater Management Plan:
The Township of Galloway wishes to inform its residents of pending changes to Gallowayβs Sewer Service Areas. The Atlantic County Department of Regional Planning and Economic Development under the direction of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has prepared draft mapping of proposed Galloway Sewer Service Areas as part of the Atlantic County Wastewater Management Plan. If you own property in the sewer service area of Galloway Township, and it is not already connected to the sewer line, your property rights may be impacted. Β

Residential Properties in the Pinelandsβ VR 3.2 Zone (Pinelands Town) White Horse Pike to Duerer Street, Leibig Avenue to west of Cologne Avenue;

Properties within the R5C Zone (Rural Development Cluster) along Jimmie Leeds Road near Genoa Avenue;

Properties within the Pinelands Regional Development Area and Federal HUB Zone between Pomona and Jimmie Leeds Roads;
Properties in the PCR Zone (Planned Community Recreational) adjacent to Jimmie Leeds Road and the Parkway;
Properties in the PRO Zone (Professional Office) near Great Creek and Wrangleboro Roads;
Properties in the NC Zone (Neighborhood Commercial) along Wrangleboro Road;
Properties in the CC-2 Zone (Community Commercial) along Route 9 between Smithville and Seaview;
Properties within the LID Zone (Conditional Industrial) along Galloway Road;
Galloway Township Athletic facilities including Tartaglio Park, Gabriel Field, Wrangleboro Park and Veterans Memorial Park;
Residential developments along Route 9 between Smithville and Seaview;
All properties within the sewer service area that may be impacted by wetlands with no field delineation of wetland limits;
Properties between Old New York Road and Route 9;
Residential developments east of Smith Bowen Road;
This issue will be discussed at the Galloway Township Planning Board hearing of March 17th and the Galloway Township Council meeting of March 22nd. A public meeting regarding the proposed plan changes is scheduled for March 23, 2011, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Canale Training Center, 5033 English Creek Ave., Egg Harbor Township, NJ. The Department of Environmental Protection and the county will accept comments up until April 23, 2011.
