Galloway Woman Killed In Accident In Absecon: Police

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ - A Galloway Township woman was killed in an accident in Absecon Wednesday evening, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

Suzana Kocick, 36, was killed in a head-on collision with 24-year-old Kaitlyn Hayes, of Pleasantville, on Pitney Road in the area of Connecticut Avenue at about 11:38 p.m. on Dec. 19.

Hayes was driving south when her car crossed into the northbound lane and struck Kocick’s car head-on, police said. Kocick was pronounced dead at the scene. Hayes was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

This crash is currently under investigation by the Absecon Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Investigations Unit. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Absecon Police at 609-641-0667 or the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office at 609-909-7692.
