GTRL Honors Herb and Pat Davis as Galloway Republicans of the Year

The Galloway Township Republican League (GTRL) honored Herb and Pat Davis as their Republicans of the Year at the annual Lincoln Breakfast last weekend at the Smithville Inn.

Herb Davis was born in Atlantic City, grew up in Pleasantville and Northfield and graduated from Mainland Regional High School, according to information provided by the GTRL this week. Pat was born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, moved to Northfield in 1965 and graduated from Holy Spirit High School.

They married in 1971 and moved to Galloway in 1988. Their son, Keith, is the Chairman of the Atlantic County Republican Committee and a member of the GTRL.

Herb was a member of the 177th Tactical Fighter Interceptor Group. He saw active duty after the capture of the USS Pueblo off the Korean Coast and served two years in Vietnam before completing his studies at the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology, according to the GTRL.

Pat worked in the Executive Giftware Department at Lenox China, but left the company to become a stay-at-home mom after their sons, Keith and Kevin, were born. Herb went into the construction field and the architectural design and consulting industry.

After both children entered school, Pat became the Secretary to the Principal at the H. Ashton Marsh School in the Absecon School District. She retired after 26 years to take care of her grandchildren, Harrison and Henry.

Pat is a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, has taught CCD for 13 years, and is a member of the Hospitality Committee.

Herb serves on many committees related to military and veterans affairs. He has been recognized by the Governor and Congress for his commitment and service to the veteran community.
