How Atlantic County Will Benefit From Major NJ Spending Bill
$178 billion will go to funding New Jersey local projects.
ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — The government's $1.5 trillion spending bill includes $178 billion for New Jersey local projects, according to NJ.com. Here's how some of that money is going to benefit Atlantic County.
For Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays Landing, $69,000 will go to the Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems training program, including buying equipment, and $212,000 will go to the county business development network.
$500,000 will go to Stockton University for coastal resiliency equipment, education and outreach.

$1 million will go to Mission Health in Atlantic City for facilities and equipment.
$800,000 will go to the Small Business Assistance Initiative in Atlantic City for training, outreach and marketing to help individuals start and maintain small businesses.

$4.6 million for the Atlantic County Improvement Authority to rehabilitate the Lake Lenape Dam, in poor condition and could potentially flood Hamilton Township.
The Little Egg Harbor Township Recreation Complex will receive $1 million towards improving the soccer and football fields.
And Hammonton will receive $395,000 for a study and rehabilitation of the sanitary sewer system.
