Local College Students Graduate, Earn Dean's List Recognitions

Three college students from Galloway and one from Absecon earned Dean's List honors at multiple colleges.

One local resident recently graduated from college and four others earned Dean’s List honors at multiple schools, according to readmedia releases.

Lauren Begasse, of Galloway, earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Global Studies from Providence College on May 20. Begasse was among 900 students who earned undergraduate degrees as part of the college’s 94th commencement ceremony.

Andrew Dowling, of Galloway, was named to Messiah College’s Dean’s List for the spring 2012 semester. The senior engineering major was named to the Dean’s List by earning a 3.6 grade point average (GPA) or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Three more students with local roots were named to the Dean’s List at York College of Pennsylvania for the spring 2012 semester. To achieve this honor, students at York College must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Those earning honors include: KellyAnn Brennan, of Galloway, a senior behavioral science major; Danielle Shank, of Galloway, a sophomore early childhood/special education major; and Sarah Young, of Absecon, a sophomore early childhood education major.
