Lynn Latham: Lite Rock's Teacher of the Year

first grade teacher Lynn Latham celebrated her accomplishment as Lite Rock 96.9's Teacher of the Year with a pizza party on Thursday, May 3. A team from the radio station was in attendance for the festivities.

Student Brandon Heshman nominated his teacher, via the following email, provided in its entirety, with some editing:

"My teacher Mrs. Latham is the best. It's hard to teach 1st, and it's hard for us too. We are scared, but Mrs. Latham don't scare us. She loves us and she's pretty and nice and smart. She taught me to read, and taught me about bullying is not nice. In 1st grade we don't know anything. It's the beginning. It's our start. I love my teacher i think she should win, don't you think she should. I hope she teaches 2nd grade so I can have her again. Please vote for her."
