Man Admits To Having Explosives In Atlantic County Home: Feds
Police were helping Robert J. Moser after an overdose when they found four explosive devices in his bedroom, officials said.
MAYS LANDING, NJ — A Mays Landing man admitted to having explosives in his home, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.
Robert J. Moser, 32, pleaded guilty to possessing destructive devices after four of these devices were found in his bedroom, Sellinger said.
Police went to Moser's home on March 17, 2023 to help him after a drug overdose, according to a news release.

At this time, officers found at least four explosive devices in his bedroom, authorities said.
All four of these devices contained explosive powder with a fuse sticking out of each, officials said. According to court documents, they were all fashioned from cardboard tubes and metal.

One of the destructive devices contained metal pieces, the second destructive device contained a metal nail and a protruding metal screw hook, the third destructive device contained a protruding metal screw hook, and the fourth destructive device contained five metal dart tips, authorities said.
Moser admitted that all four were operable weapons, authorities said.
He faces up to ten years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. Moser's sentencing is set for Nov. 13, 2024.
