Man Killed By NJ Transit Train Near Absecon Border: Officials

He was struck and killed by a train on the Atlantic City Line Wednesday morning, according to a spokesperson.

ABSECON, NJ — A Pleasantville man was killed when he was struck by a train on the border of Absecon and Pleasantville Wednesday morning, according to an NJ Transit spokesperson.

Darryl Walls, 58, was struck by the train at about 7:05 a.m., according to NJ Transit. The train was headed to Atlantic City from Philadelphia. None of the 100 people on the train were injured.

Service on the Atlantic City Line was temporarily interrupted, but has been fully restored. No further information was immediately available late Wednesday morning.
