Two New Jersey men were arrested this weekend after one was seen on social media video urinating on a memorial for a boy who died of cancer, police said.

The suspects were identified as Bryan Bellace, 23, of Egg Harbor City and Daniel Flippen, 23, of Hammonton. Bellace urinated while Flipped filmed it, police said.

The suspect was seen urinating on a memorial located at 129 Old Egg Road in Mays Landing for Christian Clopp, who passed away in 2012 at the age of 9 from an inoperable brain tumor, police said.

The incident drew outrage from the community, including the boy's father, Mark Clopp, who thanked local residents for expressing support and taking action.

"Aside from the two morons facing criminal charges, I saw a community once again come together for a cause," he said on Facebook. "I’ve heard from hundreds of people offering assistance. Friends and strangers went to wash the memorial off."

"At the end of the day, the good outweighed and overwhelmed the bad. This is what Christian did during his life. He brought people together and he has accomplished that again. Perhaps the playground will be beautified, maybe expanded as a result. It doesn’t matter, as long as it is enjoyed by thousands of children in the future."

News4 New York, which showed a blurred version of the video, quoted several people who expressed outrage that this could happen in their community.

Bellace was charged with lewdness, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. He was released on a summons. Flippen was charged with having an open alcoholic beverage in a park.
