Missing Egg Harbor Township Man Wanted in String of Boat Thefts
Officials believe Andrew Biddle may have staged a boating accident and is on the run, The Press of Atlantic City reports.
An Egg Harbor Township man that was reported missing after a boating accident near Longport on July 20 may be on the run because he staged the accident, The Press of Atlantic City reports.
Andrew Biddle, 45, is wanted in connection with several boat thefts. The boat racing champion has been indicted on three counts of theft by deception and is involved in three pending cases in Atlantic County, according to the report.
The Longport Police contacted Coast Guard watchstanders around 11:30 p.m. on July 20 to report that a boater had swam ashore after being in an accident while onboard a pontoon boat. Biddle, the boat’s operator, was reported missing.
