'Numerous' Injuries As Car Crashes Into NJ Social Security Office

Preliminary information indicates two people were seriously injured and numerous people had less serious injuries at the Egg Harbor Township office. A confirmed number of injured people was not available at press time.

The crash happened at 9:50 a.m. when Egg Harbor Township Police received a call of a motor vehicle that crashed into the Social Security building located at the intersection of Fire and Doughty roads.

Police, fire and medical services were on scene assisting the injured and securing the scene around 11 a.m. There was no indication that this was a deliberate act, police said. Preliminary information indicates this was accidental in nature.

CBS3 said as many as 20 to 25 people could be injured.
