Pedestrian Fatally Struck On White Horse Pike In Galloway: Police

GALLOWAY, NJ — A pedestrian was fatally struck Saturday night on White Horse Pike in Galloway, police said. Mariya Grechko, 68, of Williamstown, died in the crash.
The collision took place at W. White Horse Pike and S. Sixth Avenue at about 8:32 p.m. Grechko tried crossing E. White Horse Pike at S. Sixth Ave.
A westbound vehicle struck her, and she was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Officials turned her over to the Southern Regional Medical Examiner's Office.

The driver was a 50-year-old male from Galloway. Summonses are pending, and Patch has chosen to withhold his name unless or until charges are filed.
The road was closed for about two hours.
