Portions of Major Road Through Stockton to be Closed For Two Weeks
Vera King Farris Drive will close beginning Wednesday.

The installation of electrical power to the new Unified Science Center means portions of the major roadway through the will be closed for two weeks, the college announced on Tuesday, May 22.
Parts of Vera King Farris Drive will be closed for about two weeks beginning Wednesday, May 23, the school announced, adding that portions of the road may be opened during construction. The Unified Science Center building is currently under construction. Future campus infrastructure needs are also being considered, the school said.
Those who wish to access the main campus will be able to do so from Jimmie Leeds Road and following a detour along Landisville Avenue into Parking Lot #7, the school said. Drivers will be directed to turn right into Parking Lot #6, and follow the road to the Sports Center and Campus Center, the school said.

The main campus, the Sports Center, the and Housing 1 and 2 will not be accessible during the project, the school said. Vehicles in that area will be detoured around the college to the Jimmie Leeds Road entrance, requiring traffic to follow Pomona Road to Duerer Street, make a left on Jimmie Leeds Road and follow to the main entrance, the school said.
The Facilities and Plant Operations building, the station and Housing 1, 4 and 5 will be accessible from the Pomona Road Entrance during the project, the school said.
