Search After Man Shot, Killed At Atlantic City Hotel: Prosecutor

A search is underway following the Jersey Shore shooting.

A search for a possible suspect has been underway since a man was shot and killed at a New Jersey hotel overnight, prosecuors said.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating the fatal shooting of an undenified man in Atlantic City on Friday evening, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

The fatal shooting occurred at 8:44 p.m. when Atlantic City police received a 911 call regarding an incident at the Sunset Inn on Absecon Boulevard, according to the ACPO.

Police arrived at the scene and the man was transported to the AtlantiCare Medical Center City Campus Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead, according to the ACPO.

The investigation is a cooperative effort between the ACPO Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department.
