Shooting Under Investigation In Galloway: Police

A dispute between two groups Sunday night led to shots being fired and two Pleasantville teenagers being treated for injuries, police said.

GALLOWAY, NJ — Police are investigating a shooting in Galloway Sunday night that left two injured.

On March 31, Galloway police got a call from Atlantic City police that two people with gunshot wounds were being treated at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center City Division and that the shooting had happened in Galloway.

Galloway police went to the hospital and learned that the shooting had taken place near the Hoon King Chinese Restaurant on the 200 block of Collins Road, police said.

According to initial investigation, a dispute between two groups happened near the restaurant at about 8:30 p.m., police said.

During the fight, a handgun was brandished and several shots were fired, police said. Two people, a 16-year-old and 17-year-old, both boys from Pleasantville, were injured, police said. The injuries are not life-threatening, according to police.

Police believe that the shooting is related to a specific incident between the two groups and said that there is no current danger to the public.
