Stockton, Burlington County College Enter Into Sustainability Agreement
Students who earn Associate's Degrees at Burlington County College have a clear path into the Stockton program as juniors.

The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey has entered into an agreement with another college following the signing of an articulation agreement at the college Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 20.
Burlington County College students who earn an Associateβs Degree are now guaranteed admission to the collegeβs sustainability undergraduate degree program, per a Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP) agreement signed by Stockton College President Herman J. Saatkamp and Burlington County College President David Hespe.
They would have to earn a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and declare their intention to enroll in the sustainability program before completing 30 credits at Burlington County College.

They would enter Stockton as juniors.
The sustainability undergraduate degree program includes natural sciences, technology, economics, policy and ethics, among other fields. The program first became available to Stockton students in the fall.

There are about two dozen majors Burlington County College students can major in that would pave the way into Stocktonβs sustainability program. Those programs include biology, environmental science, physics, literature, social work and health science.
"This agreement affords BCC students studying sustainability the very important opportunity to continue to pursue a bachelor's degree in this field,β Hespe said. βWe are proud to partner with institutions like The Richard Stockton College. They have been leaders in this area and environmental innovators.β
βAccessibility is the key to higher education and we are delighted to join forces with Burlington County College to allow our sustainability program to reach more qualified students,β Saatkamp said.
Saatkamp pointed to Stocktonβs recent expansion into Hammonton as filling in some of the gap between Stocktonβs Pomona campus and Burlington County Collegeβs main campus, located in Pemberton.
Over the past year, Stocktonβs entered into a hospitality agreement with Cornell University; an articulation agreement with Philadelphia University; a dual degree program with Atlantic Cape Community College; and expanded into Manahawkin, Hammonton and Woodbine, via the Sam Azeez Museum.
