Stockton Discusses New Campuses, Azeez Museum, Housing at SASI Meeting
The Hammonton campus and the museum will both benefit from major donations from unnamed donors.

A campus in Hammonton is scheduled to open in January, and will benefit from a βmajor donor,β who will be named at a later date, Stockton College President Herman J. Saatkamp said following Thursdayβs Stockton Affiliated Services (SASI) meeting at the college.
While the Hammonton Campus is set to open in January, students are available to take courses at St. Joeβs High School in Hammonton this fall.
Another unnamed donor is covering half the cost of the collegeβs classroom addition at the in Woodbine. The college is covering the rest of the cost of the addition, which falls somewhere between $300,000 and $400,000, according to Saatkamp. That will also officially open in January.

Michael Azeez, a member of the SASI Board, donated the Sam Azeez Museum of Woodbine Heritage and an additional $5 million to support Stockton in September. Azeez was not present at Thursdayβs meeting. Saatkamp stated there is no conflict of interest for Azeez in this situation because there will be no financial gain for the organization.
A satellite campus in Manahwakin is set to open in September. That campus will offer a limited number of courses, with a focus on Science and Education majors, Saatkamp said.

Recently appointed SASI President Charles Ingram was not in attendance on Thursday, as SASI Chief Operating Officer Trish Krevetski delivered the Presidentβs Report. In the report, she described the eighth home for Stockton students set up on Jimmie Leeds Road, courtesy SASI. It is a five-bedroom, four-bathroom residence that has several common areas, including a kitchen and dining room.
She also highlighted major renovations being made to the N-Wing Cafeteria, which is being financed completely by Chartwells under a previous agreement between Stockton and the College and University Dining Service division of Compass Group.
The cafeteria now offers an array of international foods and a brighter environment for students and staff. They are also eliminating the use of trays, which Saatkamp says will also eliminate wasting food.
New President Ingram was appointed Vice President for Administration and Finance for the college on July 1. He served as Associate Vice President for Financial Services at the University of Arizona for 28 years.
He is the immediate past President of the Western Association of College and University Business Officers (WACUBO) and currently serves on the Board of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).
He has a Bachelorβs Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona and a Masterβs in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
