Stockton Students, Staff Aid Habitat for Humanity for Spring Break
They head to North Carolina beginning today.

Rather than relaxing or traveling to a warm beach town, students from the will participate in the “Collegiate Challenge” national alternative spring break program.
The 20 students, along with several staff members, will volunteer with Habitat for Humanity in Rocky Mount, NC next week from March 11 to 17. The students will help construct and rehabilitate housing in the area for the benefit of families in need.
“This is the sixth year Stockton students have participated in this program,” said Jennifer Radwanski, associate director for student development at Stockton. “It is a great experience for them and a great way to make a real difference in the lives of those less fortunate.”

Radwanski said the program is a “win-win” in helping families reach the goal of home ownership.
“The students are also making new friends and having fun. They work hard and they also have the opportunity to enjoy each other’s company and get to know some of the folks they are helping. It is a great experience for all concerned.”
