Traffic Reopens After Tidal Flooding; Student Hit by Car Near Absegami High School

A student suffered minor injuries after being hit by a car near Absegami High School Tuesday morning, The Press of Atlantic City reports.
Details of the accident are unknown, according to the report.
A nor’easter has brought heavy rain, high winds and low visibility on the roads to the area Tuesday morning.

There was flooding in the slow lanes of Route 30 early Tuesday, followed by debris once the flooding receded. Route 30 was completely opened by Tuesday afternoon, according to Absecon Police.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation conducted the cleanup.

In Absecon, Shore Road between Route 30 and California Avenue and Dr. Ruppert Drive (Turner Avenue) was completely closed to all traffic due to tidal flooding Tuesday morning.
It is now completely reopened.
As of 8:50 a.m., there was 2.39 inches of rainfall in Egg Harbor City, according to the National Weather Service.
