Suspected Shooter Charged In Galloway: Police
Evan C. Hayes, 18, was charged as the investigation into a shooting on Easter Sunday that injured two teens continues, police said.
GALLOWAY, NJ — An 18-year-old Mays Landing resident was charged Friday as the investigation into an Easter Sunday shooting in Galloway continues, police said.
Evan C. Hayes was taken into custody after an extensive review of forensic evidence and two search warrants executed Thursday morning in Galloway, police said.
Investigation is still ongoing as further charges are pending for others involved in the shooting, according to police.

The charges stem from a shooting at The Shoppes on Collins Road Sunday night, where two Pleasantville teens were injured by gunshots. Read more: Shooting Under Investigation In Galloway: Police
“Our department remains committed to fully investigating any and all violent crime that occurs in Galloway Township,” said Chief Richard Barber. “Ensuring the safety of our public and apprehending violent criminals will always be the top priority of our department.”

Hayes was charges with numerous offenses including but not limited to aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. The charges were placed on a warrant and he was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a future court date.
