Taj Mahal Could Stay Open, But Many Concessions Need to be Met

About 2,000 people stand to lose their jobs if the casino closes on Nov. 13, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

The Trump Taj Mahal may remain open if Trump Entertainment’s multiple demands are met by Nov. 13, The Press of Atlantic City reports.

Concessions include givebacks from the labor union, tax relief from Atlantic City, a payout from the State and “ a cash infusion from its first lien lender,” according to the report.

About 2,000 people stand to lose their jobs if the casino becomes the fourth casino to close in recent months, according to the report.

About 8,000 people have already lost their jobs as the result of previous casino closings, including The Revel, The Atlantic Club and The Showboat.

Earlier this month, it was reported casino mogul Donald Trump may make an effort to save the Taj Mahal and Trump Plaza.
