UPDATED: Council Meeting Rescheduled for Tuesday Night
The meeting will take place at its normal time.

The Galloway Township Council meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday night, Nov. 13, Township Clerk Thalia C. Kay confirmed Thursday afternoon.
The meeting, originally scheduled for that date, had been rescheduled for Monday night, Nov. 12. However, Thursday morning, it was rescheduled back to its originally scheduled date of Tuesday, Nov. 13, 6:30 p.m. at the municipal complex.
As part of the agenda, Galloway Township Council will consider a special emergency appropriation of $950,000 to be put toward a hybrid reassessment.

The reassessment was approved in October, and will be conducted in order to level taxes on all properties in Galloway Township. There were more than 2,000 tax appeals last year, according to Township Manager Arch Liston.

1858-12- Refund Bond Ordinance Authorizing the Issuance of up to $1,470,000 Aggregate Principle Amount
This refunding bond ordinance is for the purpose of funding revenue losses associated with tax credits granted to taxpayers for 2012.
1860-12 – Special Emergency Appropriation for Reassessment
This ordinance makes a special emergency appropriation in the amount of $950,000 for a complete reassessment for the use of tax assessor.
