Traffic Shifts Planned for Rt. 30 Through Pomona Road Intersection
The shift takes place Wednesday.

A traffic shift on Route 30 through the intersection with Pomona Road in Galloway Township is planned for Wednesday, the New Jersey Department of Transportation announced on Tuesday.
Mount Construction Company will oversee the operation.
All travel lanes on the White Horse Pike will be shifted to the eastbound side of the highway, from Genoa Avenue to Willow Avenue, and a new construction zone will be established on the westbound side, NJDOT said in a release.

After the new pattern is set, the White Horse Pike will carry two travel lanes in each direction during daytime and peak hours.
Pomona Road will maintain one lane in each direction.

The goal of the $6.5 million project is to improve safety and reduce congestion by widening the cross section with Route 30 to feature new left turn lanes on each side of the intersection.
