UPDATED: Water and Ice Distribution To Continue Behind Mall

Temperatures will remain high through at least Friday, according to weather reports.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the 90s through Friday, according to predictions from Weather.gov on Wednesday night.

Atlantic County will continue water and ice distribution behind the Hamilton Mall on Thursday, July 5, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a press release from the county on Wednesday. The county does not expect this operation to continue into Friday "unless there is a need."

The Egg Harbor Township Senior Center and library both reopened on Thursday, the county announced. This means that all library branches with the exception of Mays Landing and all senior centers are now open for regular hours.

Dorothy Fire Hall also remains open 24 hours a day, providing water and ice.

Information about municipal cooling centers was not available, according to the press release, but residents can call their local Office of Emergency Management for more information.
