Week in Review: Same-Sex Marriage, Township Lawsuit
A weekly recap of the past week's news.

This week we saw the passing of a pop star, the passing and veto of a same-sex marriage law, and much more. Here are some highlights from the past week's news:
On Monday, we announced that PSEG is offering school grants for environmental partnerships, posted a police blotter, took a look at some of the strangest police stories from around the state, saw teacher Terry Dougherty win another award and saw the New Jersey State Senate approve a bill to legalize same-sex marriage (the bill was vetoed by Gov. Chris Christie later in the week).
On Tuesday, the school district upheld that students can't attend high school in which a parent teaches, a resident wrote us a letter about Galloway's government, we saw the school busing could change in Galloway, put down our rods because of the end of river herring fishing season in New Jersey, announced that district 9 representatives will return to Galloway on Tuesday and saw Galloway and Absecon decide to share a part-time clerk.

On Wednesday, we met whiz kid Katie Tsui, announced that some members of the community will shave their heads for St. Baldrick's Day and saw Richard Stockton College enter into an agreement with Philadelphia University and Reliance Medical Group.
On Thursday, we saw a local businessman donate $1,000 to the Galloway Township Police Department, announced that recycling reports for Galloway businesses are due March 1 and saw a township employee file a lawsuit against Galloway.
