Woman, 88, Killed After Accident Sends Her Into Marsh: Police
A Galloway woman may face additional charges for her involvement in Saturday's accident following the Atlantic City woman's death.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — An 88-year-old woman has died of her injuries after a car she was in became submerged in a marsh over the weekend, according to Atlantic City Police. Ung Hoa Mui, of Atlantic City, died on Wednesday, four days after the accident on Route 40 in Egg Harbor Township just before 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The accident happened when 25-year-old Danielle Shenk, of Galloway, lost control of her car, struck the center divider and hit the car in the lane next to her, police said. That car then rolled over and landed in the marsh.
The driver, a 52 year old man from Atlantic City, and front seat passenger, a 77 year old woman from Atlantic City, escaped the car with only minor injuries, but told responding officers that Mui was still trapped in the car when they arrived.

Mui was found in the vehicle with her upper body under water, police said. She was not breathing and had no pulse. The officers pulled her to safety and began CPR. She was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division. Everyone involved in the accident was taken to the medical center.
Shenk has been issued motor vehicle summons for reckless driving and use of a wireless telephone in a moving vehicle. Additional charges are pending the outcome of an investigation.
