Zoning Board Meeting Canceled
With only five members of the board available, Norm Risley pulled his townhouse presentation, scheduled for tonight.

The Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting scheduled for tonight has been postponed, according to a notice posted in the municipal complex late Thursday afternoon.
No reason was given for the cancellationΒ on the notice.
According to Township Manager Steve Bonanni, only five members of the nine-member would've been available for tonight's meeting.

In order for a use variance to be passed, five members must vote in favor, meaning that every member available for Thursday's meeting would have to approve.
As a result, Galloway developer , who was scheduled to give a presentation concerning his proposed project to for 24 townhomes to be built behind Risley Square, elected not to appear before the board, Bonanni said.

Risley needs a use variance passed in order to change property reserved for commercial use to property reserved for residential use behind Sartori's grocery store in Risley Square, across the street from the municipal complex.
Risley didn't return phone calls seeking comment late Thursday afternoon into Thursday night.
Risley's presentation has been rescheduled for Aug. 11, 2011, the date of the next regularly scheduled meeting. There will be no meeting in July.
A discussion about Metro Development will also take place at the Aug. 11 meeting, according to the notice.
Two other applications will be discussed at the Sept. 8 meeting.
