• New Nutrition Program For Women And Children Coming To Summit (patch.com) — Garwood families now have access to a new WIC nutrition and support site run out of the Summit Community Center, serving eligible women and children from several Union County towns. The program offers food benefits, breastfeeding help, and health education, with flexible weekday, evening, and some Saturday hours. Interested residents can complete a quick prescreen and then schedule an appointment by phone or online.

• Union County Teen Arts Touring Exhibit on Display At Springfield Public Library (ucnj.org) — Garwood student artists from Lincoln School are featured in the 2026 Union County Teen Arts Touring Exhibit, which opens at the Springfield Public Library from May 21 to July 2. Their work will be shown alongside pieces from teens across the county in a free, public display. The exhibit will continue touring other Union County towns into 2027, highlighting local creativity.
