Village Green Concert Returns!
July 8 will see the return of the Sousa/Broadway Band Concert to the lawn at St. James Episcopal Church. The Village Green concerts have a history of more than 40 years. The New Sousa Band is a group of musicians who gather under the direction of Martha Boughner to present an old-fashioned “Concert in the Park,” featuring marches, Broadway and movie themes, patriotic songs and a few new surprises this year. We begin at 7:30 pm, and play for one hour. Bring a chair or blanket, visit the local ice cream and pizza shops, and enjoy this annual musical evening, on the corner of Bellevue Ave. and Valley Road. In case of rain, the concert will take place inside the church.
